Job Purpose:
Carrier Enterprise Northeast has an excellent opportunity for a Ductless & VRF Technical Support Specialist in the New York metropolitan area (CT/NY/NJ) based in West Caldwell, NJ. This position will provide customers, both internal and external, with sophisticated, accurate technical support on Ductless, Mini-VRF and VRF products and systems helping them to service their customers. You will also work closely with our installing contractors and internal service fulfillment team to ensure proper installation and startup of our Ductless & VRF systems. This position is critical to our future success in Ductless and VRF. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package including 401(K).
Responsibilities:
Provides technical support via telephone, email and/or fax to a large volume of customers including engineers and contractors and assist them in solving common, uncommon and complex technical problems associated with Ductless and VRF HVAC equipment.
Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, advising corrective action, and communicating with customers, and co-workers.
Remotely diagnose issues utilizing remote monitoring software to assist the customer with support resolution.
If customer issues cannot be resolved via phone based technical support, provide in-field technical support assistance to customers to correct system issues.
Provides technical information to a network of Residential Dealer via phone, email and Dealer forum.
Provide support for Carrier Enterprise field personal such as Sales Engineers, Territory Managers and Sales personal.
Work cooperatively with factory technical teams to provide technical support to CE Northeast's customers.
Assist departmental management with problematic or complex claim resolution
Capture information and entering data in computer in a timely manner
Read and understand wiring schematics and refrigerant circuit diagrams and conveys information to customers.
Operate refrigerant recovery equipment in compliance with governmental regulations.
Understand and reason in-depth concepts and principles such as AC/DC theory, inductance, and digital communications.
Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies and procedures including OSHA and any local authorities governing requirements.
Must be able to travel occasionally throughout the district - CT NY VT
Experience/Education:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Minimum two (2) years HVAC graduate, Technical College preferred.
3-5 years field experience.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word/E-mail.
Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, Spanish bilingual a plus.
